PLATFORM 21 /

The exhibition ‘Me and My Character’ explored the fascination for cuddly toys, monsters and robots by well-known designers and enthousiastic amateurs alike. We found the owners of these characters through extensive research on weblogs and the many websites made by character-lovers. Then we asked them to participate by sending their beloved character to Platform 21 for a ‘holiday’, together with a picture of themselves and a written testimonial of their special bond.
We organised lectures and workshops, made a small magazine to go with the exhibition and made a ‘creative junkyard’ where visitors could make their own character out of ordinary objects.
Platform 21 adopted it’s own character: Leaflet at Pictoorphanage, the character orphanage run by Pictoplasma.
